Q: What are your Shipping rates?

A: Until I do a deep dive into all the shipping possibilities available through Shopify, I'll just try to keep it simple and will hope to break even on shipping costs. I'm starting out with a $3 shipping charge for the smaller bandanas (up to $18 sale), and $5 shipping charge on larger orders ($19-$49). I'll do free shipping for orders over $50. 

Q: How long will it take to receive my order?

A: I will strive to process your order as quickly as possible. I plan to ship orders within 3-5 business days from order date. If you include an email, I will let you know when I mail your order. If you need something sooner, please email me at OpalsNeighborhood@gmail.com before you place your order. I will do my best to accommodate you, but may need to charge more for shipping to expedite your order.

Q: Why do you need my email or phone number when I place an order?

A: I hope you will include your email or phone number just in case I have a question about your order. On a rare occasion I may run short on the fabric needed for your order, in which case I'll ask if there's another fabric you like or if you'd like to cancel part/all of your order. I promise I will never share your email/phone number or send you unsolicited messages. 

Q: I purchased the wrong size. Can I return my order?

A: Please see the Size Guide and make sure to measure your pet's neck to ensure you get a bandana that fits. That said, I want you to be happy with your order. Please email me within 14 days of delivery if you have any concerns. You may need to pay the return shipping cost if you wish to exchange your bandana for a larger/smaller size. If I no longer have the same fabric you originally ordered, I will help you find a good replacement fabric. 

Q: My order is damaged or defective. What should I do?

A: Please contact me right away if this is the case. You must send me a request for return within 14 days of the order being delivered. I cannot accept returns beyond that point. I will reach out to you to see if you wish to return the item and receive a refund, or if you would like me to send you a replacement bandana. 

Q: What's the best way to care for my dog's bandana?

A: I've preshrunk all the bandana fabrics, so they can be machine washed and dried on a low temp. I've had very good luck tossing all of Opal's bandanas into the washing machine. I usually line dry them, but have also put them in the dryer on low. Sometimes I give them a quick press with a hot iron, though with most fabrics that hasn't been necessary.
